The ISA-95 standard is the international standard for the integration of office automation and production automation. ISA-95 consists of models and terminology that accurately identify what information should be exchanged between systems focused on buying, selling, administrative and logistics and systems focused on production, inventory, maintenance and quality. Using UML object models, this information is structured in order to develop standardized interfaces between ERP and MES systems. Furthermore, ISA-95 is used for information analysis, preparation of User Requirements, for supplier selection and as a basis for the development of MES systems.
